A surprising, utterly romantic companion to My Life Next Door—great for fans of Sarah Dessen and Jenny Han

Tim Mason was The Boy Most Likely To find the liquor cabinet blindfolded, need a liver transplant, and drive his car into a house

Alice Garrett was The Girl Most Likely To . . . well, not date her little brother’s baggage-burdened best friend, for starters.

For Tim, it wouldn’t be smart to fall for Alice. For Alice, nothing could be scarier than falling for Tim. But Tim has never been known for making the smart choice, and Alice is starting to wonder if the “smart” choice is always the right one. When these two crash into each other, they crash hard.

Then the unexpected consequences of Tim’s wild days come back to shock him. He finds himself in a situation that isn’t all it appears to be, that he never could have predicted . . . but maybe should have.

And Alice is caught in the middle.

Told in Tim’s and Alice’s distinctive, disarming, entirely compelling voices, this novel is for readers of The Spectacular NowNick and Norah’s Infinite Playlist, and Paper Towns.

Oh, Huntley! You are SO good...

Normally, I try to do a reread when it has been a long time between books, but I just didn't have time this go around. It took me all of 2.3 seconds to fall back into this world, and in love with these families, and I STILL want to do a reread. I will never be able to let these characters go.

If you follow my reviews at all, you know that my normal reads are paranormal, or horror, or fantasy. I don't read a lot of contemporary, mostly because I am a LOT picky about them. They have to strike the right balance, whatever that may be on any given day, and sadly there has been a lot of... unbalance with me and contemps. The saddest part? I LOVE THEM! The happy?! Huntley Fitzpatrick, no matter the story or the characters, strikes the right balance every. single. time. My Life Next Door is one of  the best contemps that I have ever read, and thankfully, she knocked the ball out of the park with The Boy Most Likely To! FANTASTIC READ!

The relationship between Alice and Tim was perfection. I loved the contention between them, but then we got some super sweet "aww" moments. I was literally smiling from ear to ear! And while I love and adore Alice, and she is very relate-able, I definitely related more to Tim, especially his troubles with certain things. I know very well what that can be like, and it made me latch onto Tim, and definitely made him my favorite. All in all, A & T were an easy couple to root for!

Huntly Fitzpatrick knows what she is doing, y'all! As evidenced by the reviews she receives, that statement deserves a "duh". But she really does! From bringing out every emotion in her readers, to giving us characters that we carry with us even while we aren't reading, to her beautiful writing itself, this author is kicking booty and taking names in the world of YA. And I am so happy that I am a part of that ride, in any kind of way! Now, please, go read these books!
