The highly anticipated sequel to Dinner with a Vampire

Autumn Rose has the chance to save the world she loves. But how much will she have to sacrifice to achieve it?

In Autumn Rose, book two of her breathtaking series, Abigail Gibbs draws us even further into the dangerous and romantic world of the Dark Heroines.

I read Dinner With a Vampire and after having a difficult time getting into it, I actually really enjoyed it. I can say that this was exactly the same. At the beginning, it was slow and I was kind of confused for most of it. Approximately halfway through, I started to understand more of what was going on and it was good. By the end, I was binge reading and couldn't put it down. I still liked Dinner With a Vampire more, but this one was good as well.

I think Autumn was a really good Heroine and I'm excited to see how she will play into Gibbs' future books. She wasn't as feisty as Violet, but she was still a fun character. Occasionally, I found her a little whiny. I didn't like Fallon much, however, but I'm a bad boy type of girl (Kaspar) and since he was more of a "stick to the rules" kind of guy, that's not very surprising. I also felt he didn't have as much depth as Kaspar did in the first story. Actually, I felt the whole story in itself didn't have as much depth as Dinner With a Vampire, but it's still very good. And, necessary in the grand scheme of things. I enjoyed how Autumn/Fallon's story came together with Violet/Kaspar's in the end.

For fans of Book 1, I'd say you'll like this one, but you may not love it. It's definitely good in it's own right. I'm excited to see what she does in the third with the new Heroine.
