The past few years have held more surprises than part-angel Clara Gardner could ever have anticipated. Yet from the dizzying highs of first love, to the agonizing low of losing someone close to her, the one thing she can no longer deny is that she was never meant to live a normal life. Since discovering the special role she plays among the other angel-bloods, Clara has been determined to protect Tucker Avery from the evil that follows her . . . even if it means breaking both their hearts. Leaving town seems like the best option, so she’s headed back to California - and so is Christian Prescott, the irresistible boy from the vision that started her on this journey in the first place. As Clara makes her way in a world that is frighteningly new, she discovers that the fallen angel who attacked her is watching her every move. And he’s not the only one. . . . With the battle against the Black Wings looming, Clara knows she must finally fulfil her destiny. But it won’t come without sacrifices and betrayal. In the riveting finale of the Unearthly series, Clara must decide her fate once and for all

Oh man I love this series! There are very few series out there where I can safely say that each book is better than the last-but the Unearthly series fits that bill completely. I love the way that the author has created a series where I care about the characters and really want everything to go well for them.  I love the innocence of this series and that there really is nothing objectionable in it (to me anyway).  I love that the author didn't fall back on the "oh we need to have tons of sex and push the envelope in every way."

Oh Christian, can I write YOU a love letter?  After reading Boundless I am completely and totally Team Christian.  Why take a boy who is stinky like horses when you can have a guy who is part ANGEL?  Many secrets about Christian are revealed in Boundless and many surprises.  I can't tell you much other than that, because I don't want to spoil the "Who will Clara end up with?" mystery.  But Christian, sigh....

I am happy to see that this book took place in college.  Angela deals with some real problems in this book.  I feel so bad for how much she went through.  Angela is forced to grow up in Boundless and it is hearbreaking to read.  I would highly recommend reading the novella that comes between the second and third books.  I didn't and I have to say I was pretty confused at times (the plot of the novella is about Angela).

I am so sad to see this series ending, but I really can't wait to see what the author will create next.  This is undoubtedly one of my favorite series.  It has a sweetness and an innocence that I haven't read in other YA series.

  1. I've been meaning to start this series for a while. Since the whole thing is available, I'll be able to go from one book to the other without breaks in between so that's cool.

    Thanks for the review.
