Summary taken from Goodreads:

How do you defy destiny?
Helen Hamilton has spent her entire sixteen years trying to hide how different she is—no easy task on an island as small and sheltered as Nantucket. And it's getting harder. Nightmares of a desperate desert journey have Helen waking parched, only to find her sheets damaged by dirt and dust. At school she's haunted by hallucinations of three women weeping tears of blood . . . and when Helen first crosses paths with Lucas Delos, she has no way of knowing they're destined to play the leading roles in a tragedy the Fates insist on repeating throughout history.
As Helen unlocks the secrets of her ancestry, she realizes that some myths are more than just legend. But even demigod powers might not be enough to defy the forces that are both drawing her and Lucas together—and trying to tear them apart.

I have been waiting to read this book for the longest time!  I loved it!  I loved that Helen had "super powers"- super speed, super strength, and super healing!  The part of the book that stuck out to me the most was when Helen accidentally started flying... and then accidentally fell and crashed into Lucas... breaking every bone in their bodies- how creative is that?  I was blown away by the absolute creativeness of the author- this was a book that stood out from all the other "paranormal" books out there.

Greek mythology- I love it!  I love any book that has loads of Greek Mythology!  The story of Helen of Troy is a favorite - and to add in... man I can't tell you- that would spoil the whole book! Helen is not a wimp in this book- she really holds her own with or without her man!  If you haven't read this book- why not?  I couldn't put it down and I really think EVERYONE has a reason to read it.... it really was that good!

  3. I have this on my shelf and it's trapped among the million other titles that I want to get to but haven't yet. *sigh* I bought way more books last year then I read. I don't know if I am ever going to get my TBR down to a manageable size.
