Married Mom, Solo Parent Blog Tour
By Carla Coroy
About the book:
For married women who feel like single parents.
Bookstore shelves are full of parenting resources for moms who are newly divorced or widowed. But where do moms turn if they feel like a single parent--but they’re not? Whether he is away on business, deployed in the military, or obsessing over a computer game, dad may not be available for a variety of reasons. Moms who parent in this situation still need help and don’t necessarily relate to the advice given in divorce recovery or single parenting resources.
My thoughts:
This book is a great helpmate to any parent who has a spouse that is not home often. I love the way that the author lays out the book. I found myself going "Yeah! Yeah!" as I was reading through the Table of Contents. The author writes in an interesting way - almost as a friend or a sister would write to a hurting friend. I enjoyed the person features throughout the book. It helped me see that I am not the only parent that has a spouse that works alot and there really are other women getting through it.
